2008 Touro Law Center Paul S. Miller “With Liberty and Justice for All” Award

Tom Rosicki, Esq.

Tom Rosicki received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in management sciences and accounting, and later received his law degree from Touro Law School. He joined the FBI in 1982 as a Special Agent in Organized Crime, serving in Baltimore, St. Louis and New York. He left the FBI when Mayor Koch appointed him Deputy Commissioner of the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission in 1989. After the elections, Tom moved to the private sector and became Vice President Director of Security for Macy’s East. He was later appointed as Chairman of the Nassau County Parole Board where he served for three years. Tom is past Chairman of the Society of Former FBI Agents, New York Chapter, and currently serves on the board as President of the Association for the Help of Retarded Children (AHRC), and on the business advisory council of The Rehabilitation Institute. In 2008, Tom was appointed to the Board of Governors of Touro Law School.

 

With Liberty & Justice for All

Touro Law Center held its annual “With Liberty & Justice for All” Dinner on November 12, 2008 at the Garden City Hotel. Dean Lawrence Raful presented Thomas Rosicki ’97 with the Paul S. Miller “With Liberty and Justice for All” Award for his support of Touro Law and his outstanding contribution to the community through his work with AHRC and representing those with disabilities. Touro College President Dr. Bernard Lander together with Dean Raful presented the “Friend of Justice” Award to Alan L. Fuchsberg for continuing the legacy of his mother and father along with his continued support and commitment to Touro Law Center and the community. The Dean also recognized the Honorable Leonard D. Wexler and the Honorable H. Patrick Leis III for their extraordinary work with Touro Law Center’s Court Observation Program.
